Use Ads Optimiser in Claude

Create TikTok ad images and videos straight from a conversation with Claude. You describe what you want, Claude generates it in your Ads Optimiser workspace, and every result is saved to your jobs just as if you had made it in the app.

It works on every Ads Optimiser plan, including Free.

Choose how to connect

Works inClaude on the web, desktop and mobileClaude Desktop and Claude Code
Set upAdd a custom connector in Claude's settingsAdd one entry to your Claude config
Local filesNoYes: use images on your computer as references, and download results to a folder
Batch jobsNoYes: one job per image in a folder or per line of a prompts file

Both give Claude the same abilities in the app, count toward the same plan limits, and can be revoked from your Profile. Use the connector if you just want to create from chat. Use the package if you work with files on your computer.

Option 1: Claude connector

  1. In Claude, open Settings > Connectors.
  2. Select Add custom connector.
  3. Enter the details:
    • Name: Ads Optimiser
    • URL: https://mcp.adsoptimiser.com.au/mcp
  4. Select Add, then Connect.
  5. A browser tab opens on Ads Optimiser. Sign in with your usual account (Google or email) if you aren't already.
  6. Check the request: it names the app asking for access and what it can do.
  7. Choose the workspace Claude should work in, then select Approve.
  8. You're returned to Claude and the connector shows as connected.

The connection is tied to the workspace you chose. To work in a different workspace, disconnect and connect again, choosing the other workspace. You need member access or higher to a workspace to connect it.

Option 2: Ads Optimiser MCP package

The package @cintelisai/adsoptimiser-mcp runs on your computer. You need Node.js 18.17 or later.

Claude Desktop

  1. In Claude Desktop, open Settings > Developer > Edit Config.

  2. Add this entry inside "mcpServers":

    "adsoptimiser": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y", "@cintelisai/adsoptimiser-mcp@latest"]
    }

    On Windows, use the global install below instead. It's the reliable setup there.

  3. Quit Claude Desktop fully (from the system tray or menu bar) and open it again.

Under the Microsoft Store version of Claude Desktop, npx can take around 27 seconds to start the package, and Claude Desktop gives up on a server after about 20 seconds, so Ads Optimiser may show as failed. Install the package once and run it with node instead:

  1. Open a terminal (PowerShell or Command Prompt) and run:

    npm install -g @cintelisai/adsoptimiser-mcp
    npm root -g

    npm root -g prints your global npm folder, for example C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules.

  2. In Claude Desktop, open Settings > Developer > Edit Config and add this entry inside "mcpServers", using your own folder. In the config file every backslash is doubled:

    "adsoptimiser": {
    "command": "node",
    "args": ["C:\\Users\\<you>\\AppData\\Roaming\\npm\\node_modules\\@cintelisai\\adsoptimiser-mcp\\dist\\server.mjs"]
    }
  3. Quit Claude Desktop fully from the system tray and open it again.

A global install doesn't update itself. After each new release, run this and restart Claude Desktop:

npm install -g @cintelisai/adsoptimiser-mcp@latest

Claude Code

claude mcp add adsoptimiser -- npx -y @cintelisai/adsoptimiser-mcp@latest

Connect your account

  1. In a chat, say "connect to Ads Optimiser". Claude gives you a link and a short code.
  2. Open the link. Check the code on the page matches the one Claude showed you.
  3. Choose your workspace and select Approve.
  4. Tell Claude you've approved. It finishes connecting and confirms your account and workspace.

Your sign-in is saved on your computer (in your home folder), never in the Claude config. To disconnect, say "disconnect from Ads Optimiser".

If it doesn't appear in Claude Desktop

  • Quit Claude Desktop fully and open it again. The first launch can take a few seconds while the package downloads.
  • Start a new chat and check adsoptimiser is switched on in the tools menu.
  • On Windows, check the log at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Claude\Logs\mcp-server-adsoptimiser.log (Microsoft Store version of Claude Desktop) or %APPDATA%\Claude\logs (other installs). A log that ends soon after initialize usually means the server started too slowly: switch to the global install.
  • If tools described on this page are missing, you may be on an older version. With the global install, run npm install -g @cintelisai/adsoptimiser-mcp@latest; with npx ...@latest, restart Claude Desktop.

Working with local files

  • Use full paths, for example C:\Users\you\Pictures\product.jpg or /Users/you/Pictures/product.jpg.
  • Images: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 10 MB. Convert HEIC or TIFF photos to JPEG or PNG first.
  • Videos: MP4 or MOV, up to 120 MB.
  • Downloads go to an adsoptimiser-output folder unless you name another one. Existing files are never replaced unless you ask.
  • Batches run up to 10 jobs per request and stop if you reach a limit, telling you where to resume.

Uploading a file doesn't use any of your allowance. Generating from it does.

What Claude can see

Claude doesn't just get links. Tools attach small previews (384 px) of what was made, so Claude can look at a new image, pick the best views of a character sheet or compare recent results:

RequestPreviewsDefault
Generate an imageThe finished image, when it's ready in timeOn
Get a jobThe finished image, or a video's poster frameOn
Get a characterUp to 5 reference imagesOn
List jobs, or list a character's assetsUp to 6 finished imagesOff (ask Claude to include thumbnails)

To check fine detail, such as colours, button counts, small text or a stray mark on the skin, ask Claude to look closer. The view_image tool shows one image at up to 1536 px, and can crop to zoom into one region, for example "zoom into the buttons on her overshirt". It works on a job, a stored image or a character's reference image. Previews and view_image use no allowance.

In Claude Code, a result with several previews can go over the tool output limit (MAX_MCP_OUTPUT_TOKENS). If that happens, ask Claude to turn thumbnails off for that request, or raise the limit.

Tips

  • Ask Claude to confirm its plan before generating. Claude can be eager and start several images or videos at once. Say "list what you'll generate and the estimated cost, and wait for my OK".
  • Everything is stored in the app. Every image, video, speech track and voice preview is kept in your workspace (Jobs, the character's page and Content Library), so you don't need to save files locally. Download only when you want a copy on your computer.
  • Use GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst for exact details such as colours, counts, layouts and character sheets. See Image Generation.
  • Check detail with view_image before you save an image as a character reference.

Things to try

  • "Show me which Ads Optimiser workspace you're connected to."

  • "What image and video models can you use, and what do they cost?"

  • "Turn this idea into a strong prompt for a TikTok ad: a reusable coffee cup for commuters."

  • "Generate a 9:16 image of a reusable coffee cup on a train seat at golden hour, low quality for a quick draft."

  • "Animate that image into a 6 second vertical video with a slow push in."

  • "Check on my video." Videos take one to several minutes, and Claude can check progress for you.

  • "What pipelines do I have? Run the product ad pipeline for a bamboo toothbrush."

  • "Build and save a pipeline that refines my prompt, generates a 9:16 image and animates it into a 6 second video."

  • "Create a character called Amos from my last three images: 101 years old, shaved head, long white beard. Give him the OpenAI voice cedar, slow and gravelly, and preview it."

  • "Make a 720p talking clip of Amos saying beans are the top longevity food, with captions."

  • "Generate a character sheet for Juno with GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, a separate image for each view. Show me the plan first."

  • "Zoom into the buttons in that image and check there are exactly four, in the right order."

  • "Add auto captions to my last video, and a card saying 'Grade: D' from 6 to 8 seconds in the centre."

With the MCP package you can also try:

  • "Use C:\Users\you\Pictures\cup.jpg as a reference and put the cup on a snowy mountain top, 9:16."
  • "Animate every image in C:\Users\you\Pictures\ads into a 5 second video."
  • "Download my last three finished videos to C:\Users\you\Videos\ads."
  • "Save everything Juno has made to C:\Users\you\Desktop\juno." (finished images, videos and speech, up to 20 files per request)
  • "Add captions timed to the speech to C:\Users\you\Videos\clip.mp4."

Each result comes with a link to the finished file and a link that opens the job in the Ads Optimiser app.

Build pipelines with Claude

Claude can design a whole multi-step pipeline for you, not just run existing ones. Describe the workflow and Claude will:

  1. Read the list of available pipeline steps and their settings
  2. Design the pipeline and check it, showing any problems and the estimated cost per run
  3. Save it so it appears in your Pipeline editor, or update one you saved before
  4. Run it, reporting how many steps it has and what it's expected to cost

For example: "Build a pipeline that turns my product photo into three 9:16 videos with different camera moves, then save it as 'Launch pack'." With the MCP package, a local photo path in the pipeline is uploaded for you.

Checking and saving a pipeline uses no allowance. Running it uses allowance for each generation step, just like single jobs. Pipelines can have up to 12 steps. Claude can't delete saved pipelines; do that in the Pipeline editor.

What Claude can do

  • See which account and workspace it's connected to
  • List the available image and video models, with their options and indicative cost
  • Improve a rough prompt
  • Generate images, including edits and restyles from reference images, with Grok, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst or Flare, or Luma models
  • See previews of what it generated, and look closer at one image (up to 1536 px, with crop to zoom) to check detail
  • Generate videos from text or from an image, including images you generated earlier
  • Check the status of jobs and list recent jobs
  • List pipeline templates and your saved pipelines, start a pipeline run and check its progress
  • Create and update characters from images, with a description and voice, and use them in images, videos and pipelines
  • List voices and preview how a character's voice sounds
  • List everything made with a character (images, videos, talking clips, lip-syncs, voiceovers and captioned clips, with scripts and speech), for example "show me Amos's last five clips". With the MCP package it can also save them to a folder
  • Add overlays and captions to a finished video: timed text cards, and captions timed to the speech, placed exactly with a height, size and line breaks. This works on any video you already have, and counts as a creative job, not a generation
  • Run a pipeline on a video you already have, for example the Re-caption a video template with a video job id
  • Tell you when a Grok image was made by GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst because Grok failed, and (with the MCP package) the provider cost of OpenAI images
  • Lip-sync a finished video so a character speaks your line in their voice (takes a few minutes; uses one video generation)
  • Design new multi-step pipelines, check them for errors and estimated cost, save or update them for the Pipeline editor, and run them

What Claude can't do

Claude can create and review creatives only. It can't:

  • publish or schedule posts to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube
  • create or change ads, ad groups or campaigns
  • delete anything, including saved pipelines and characters
  • change your plan, billing or payment details
  • manage workspace members or settings

Do those in the Ads Optimiser app.

Limits

Everything you generate through Claude counts toward the same limits as the app:

  • your plan's monthly generation allowance (see Billing)
  • your plan's monthly creative job allowance, which every job counts toward, including overlays and captions
  • the daily video generation quota
  • the per minute generation rate limit

If you reach your plan's monthly allowance, Claude tells you and links to Billing in the app, where you can upgrade. Pipeline runs use allowance for each generation step, just like single jobs.

Revoke access

You can remove Claude's access at any time:

  1. Open Ads Optimiser and go to Profile.
  2. Find API tokens and connected apps.
  3. Select Revoke next to the connection.

Access stops immediately and Claude's next request is refused. For the connector, also remove it in Claude under Settings > Connectors. To use it again later, connect and approve again.

Privacy and security

  • Claude never sees your Ads Optimiser password. You sign in on Ads Optimiser's own site.
  • A connection only covers the one workspace you approved, and only creating and viewing creatives.
  • If you leave the workspace or your access is removed, the connection stops working straight away.
  • Only approve a connection request that you started yourself, and only when the code on the page matches the one Claude showed you.
